Will my selling site report me to HMRC?

Free. Enter one platform's sales for a calendar year and see whether GOV.UK's reporting exception covers you. Being reported isn't the same as owing tax: GOV.UK's guide to income from online platforms explains when you need to tell HMRC.
What do you sell on this site?

Platforms count sales from 1 January to 31 December, not by tax year.

Count each platform on its own: run the check once per site.

The platform's own figure for the year, or your own total so far.

GOV.UK tells platforms

You do not need to report sellers getting a total of 2,000 euros or less (approximately £1,700) for fewer than 30 sales of goods in a year. This reporting exception does not apply to:

  • the provision of services
  • rental of transport
  • rental of immoveable property

This applies GOV.UK's published reporting rule to the figures you type. It doesn't say whether you're trading, whether you owe tax or what to tell HMRC, and it isn't connected to HMRC or to any selling site.
